As promised, here are the new stacked photos.  We’re getting better on the table!

It’s the first of November!

What a day we had today!  Again, Alicia, William, Eleanor and Hayley (who I think attends college in North Carolina!) came to help with puppy pictures.  Joining us for a day of fun was Chris Bartos, Brewester and Ember!  Thank goodness there were so many hands, as the pups were pretty done with the picture taking and just wanted to curl up and sleep!  It had been a full day of playing in the yard.  I had to edit Teal’s picture because the light started to go.  Chris was kind enough to take stacked pictures, which I will add tomorrow.

You may have noticed that we have an addition to our puppy pile.  Indigo, a black & white tri English Cocker puppy has joined us.  I DO NOT RECOMMEND raising two puppies at the same time.  I am doing this with the promise of help from breeder Peggy Faith and friends.  She’s the right puppy, but she picked the wrong time to show up.  We’ll manage.

The pups are now beginning crate training and individual obedience sessions.  It’s a busy time, but a happy time here!

Stacking Young Puppies Is HARD!

With extra hands to “woman” the camera this weekend, I attempted to take some stacked pictures of the puppies.  Obviously, I need to teach them this skill!  While these are not the most flattering pictures (especially of Blossom, who did a very nice imitation of a Halloween cat!) it will give you an idea of how they are growing!  By far, the star was Meadow!  He knew just what to do!

Puppies are really starting to keep me busy!  They are very clean puppies, having learned to go BM outside already!  They are eating solid food now, but Shenan still stops by at least once a day for a snuggle.  They’ve been all over the backyard, learned to climb up and down the stairs, have played in the rocks, and Lemon has even tried to excavate under the new deck!  They like to go under the kennel half outside.  That will soon become a target for a game of King of the mountain!  The Simpson-Trotter family spent the day here yesterday, along with college aged daughter Hayley, so many thanks to them for my most favorite pictures yet!

October 10 Weekend

It was so lovely to visit with so many friends this weekend!  Because there was a show at the Howard County fairgrounds and we had a 2010 Specialty meeting, the puppies had a lot on their dance card!  Auntie Dede has come by, as evidenced in the pictures.  You will now find a little colored bear hidden in each picture that tells you the color of the puppy!  That way, if the ribbon doesn’t show, you’ll still know who is who!  Chris Bevillard came with Dede, Alicia, Eleanor and William were here to help with photos again (although I think Elea is opting out as she thinks it’s HARD to take pictures of puppies).  Kellie and Steve Witzoskey are coming as well.  Maggie and Lucie Brownson have been by and are planning a second trip, and Donna Cleverdon has also been here!  I’ve had to keep up with the housework!  Hard to do when there are such cute puppies to play with!

Three Weeks

Today Alicia, Eleanor, William and Ashley came over to help take pictures of the puppies!  We ventured outside for the first time, on the top section of the new deck!  It was sunny and there was a new texture, plus new people and the picture accoutrements!  All in all, it was a very busy day!

Eye Peepers!

September 27th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

Last night, the puppies’ eyes began to show up!  They were not very cooperative for their picture taking session, as there were things that they wanted to do!  All are trying to get up on their feet, and Lemon has learned to walk backward and “woo woo”, but not at the same time!  The pictures contain a measuring tape, as my colleagues at school have been using the puppies’ growth for Math lessons.  Hope that worked, guys!  You’ll notice that a 5th puppy had joined our ranks.  We call him Marigold!  He’s a Booda billy goat that Shenan has added to the crew!

Where did the week go?

September 24th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

It’s already Wednesday evening, and I can’t tell you where the evenings have gone!  Oh, yeah!  We have puppies!  All are gaining weight and have found their doggie voices.  Shenan has begun to join us more frequently for periods of time.  We’ve had a lot of visitors and Auntie Alicia has come to check on the pups during the day!  We hope to see eye peepers before long, and pups had their nails trimmed for the first time.  They looked like little poppy seeds!  Everyone has taken a turn in the big chair, watching TV with Missy and Rugby and doing Sudoku.  Poppa Rugby earned his Delta Therapy dog vest this past Saturday as well!

Some Puppy Pictures

I hope I have made the pictues of a size to see.  The pups are FAT and sassy.  They are all gaining weight well.  Rugby has been allowed in to see the pups, but Rush must still keep her distance.  Shenan can now go outside and play ball for a few minutes at a time a couple of times a day.  If you double click on each pups’ picture, you will be able to see the whole pup!
